About us
Caelum Systems is a UK-based tech startup developing consumer electronics for extreme sports. Incorporated in 2018, we have been quietly developing a range of electronic products for use in skydiving, skiing, and snowboarding. We aim to produce dependable, high-quality products fulfilling our users’ needs.
All our products are assembled and tested here in the UK.
Who are we?
Alex
Alex is a keen skydiver with over 1000 jumps – an advanced packer as well as a coach in multiple disciplines. He is also a skydiving photographer across a range of disciplines; in 2023 alone he captured:
– The UK full-break sequential formation skydiving record
– The warm-up and bench groups of the UK Women’s head down record
– A 4-way FS team competing at the world cup in Voss
– As well as many other bigway, freeflying and tracking jumps.
Alex’s professional background is as a senior microelectronic design engineer with a MEng in electronic engineering. He regularly works on cutting edge complex systems, as well as designs for security-conscious applications.
Ben
Ben is a senior systems engineer with an MEng in electronic engineering. His professional background is in medical robotics, so he is used to developing safe, quality-controlled products for highly-regulated markets. Additionally, he has previous experience developing wearable devices for sports applications including skydiving. He has over 250 jumps split between FS and FF, and has been skydiving since 2014.
